FUN TO DO
Sending out Season’s Greetings |
Last month, the New Dorp Lane Day Habilitation participants learned how to send their Season’s Greetings to family and friends. They wanted to share some tips on sending out greetings for all sorts of occasions throughout the year.
|
First, cards need to be selected that express your wishes for the occasion. Some might be for a specific holiday like Christmas or Valentine’s Day and some may send warm wishes for the whole year or a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. Since there are many to choose from, try getting a variety so you have the perfect card for each person.
|
Next, fill out each card by writing a brief personal message in it and signing it. After putting the card into the envelope and sealing it, you can add some extra decoration by adding a decorative sticker to put on the back of the envelope.

|
Now the envelopes are ready to be addressed with the person’s address in the middle of the envelope and the return address in the left top corner. The postage stamp is the last step to getting your cards ready. Be sure to check out the different stamps at the Post Office since they offer different themed postage stamps.
When you’re done, all the cards can go into the mailbox so the Post Office can deliver your special greetings!

All the participants enjoyed preparing and sending their greetings during this holiday season, especially to those living far away. They look forward to continuing to mail greetings out throughout the year and want to remind you that greeting cards can be sent for any holiday, celebration, or special event.
