an effort to bring program services “into the home”
this section will contain different activities, ideas and suggestions
for consumers, families, friends and residential providers to
try at home. Suggestions will vary from month to month and your
input or requests are welcomed!

Read through
the entire section activity before you start.

This
activity can be done independently, together with a friend, or
with as much help as needed from a family member or staff person.
|
|
If
you are helping a consumer do this activity, remember to talk throughout
the task and encourage the consumer to repeat “important”
words. Help the consumer DO the task, and try not to do all the
work yourself. The smallest amount of participation is a step in
the right direction.

|
Remember,
the idea is to have fun while learning—there are no “wrong”
answers. So get ready for something FUN
TO DO!
